The "Coalition" is an organization of over 45 organizations in the Huntsville/Madison/Madison County/Redstone Arsenal  area which work together for a common cause. We feel that by working together and sharing both resources and talent we can achieve greater results for common goals than by working independently. We also feel that by being affiliate members of the "Coalition" we can gain greater recognition and support for the projects of individual affiliate members.

"The Huntsville/Madison/Madison County/Redstone Arsenal community is the MOST PATRIOTIC community in the Nation." - David Carney, President

Flag Day Ceremony
Veterans Memorial Park
14 June, 2008
9 A.M. - Noon

1. The Veterans Memorial Park is about to undergo a historical change with
construction for the Madison County Veterans Memorial. Part of scenes which
will accompany the Memorial as it is built and becomes a historical monument
is the park before the construction begins. We plan to create that scene on
Flag Day of 2008 as we invite all Active Military, Veterans, and Patriotic
Citizens to participate in a community wide Flag Day event.  We plan to have
re-enactors representing various wars, cannons, static displays, flag
presentations, and music. We invite all Veterans and actively serving to
wear their uniform. Medals on civilian clothes are encouraged.

2. As part of that program, we will do a Veterans Memorial fund raising
event open to the entire community.

3. We invite all interested groups to display a table/booth of their
organization.
No cost. Tables will be provided free.

4. A giant flag will be displayed at 11:30 am while being held by veterans.
Hand held flags will be given to everybody.

5. The 151st Army Band will perform from 9 am to 11 am.

6. Lapel pins of the Veterans Memorial will be available for $20 each. The
money will help fund the Memorial.
